Tucked into the wooded hillsides of Northwest Arkansas, just minutes from downtown Bentonville, lies a place where mountain bikers, design lovers and coffee aficionados meet: Airship at Coler

This open-air café, accessible only by foot or bike, sits at the heart of the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve — a 300-acre outdoor haven that has rapidly become a mecca for riders across the central and southern United States.

Designed in collaboration with Modus Studio and architect Matt Poe and supported by visionary nonprofits like the Trailblazers and the Peel Compton Foundation, Airship at Coler is far more than a trailside stop — it’s an architectural experience crafted in formed concrete, natural wood and raw steel. Its intentional material palette echoes the surrounding Ozark landscape while offering a solid, sculptural counterpoint to the airy barns and flowing trails that define the preserve.

Founded in Northwest Arkansas, Airship Coffee brings its philosophy of intentionality and excellence to every cup served. Their Bentonville roastery is known for small-batch precision, experimental processing and direct-trade relationships with coffee producers across Latin America and Africa. Each roast reflects a balance of nuance and integrity — whether it’s a crisp pour-over, a smooth cold brew or a warming cortado.

At their Coler location, that same ethos is grounded in the trail culture, where coffee becomes more than a caffeine fix — it becomes a ritual.

The Coler Mountain Bike Preserve itself is a design marvel. Built in 2020, it offers 17 miles of trails sculpted for all skill levels, interwoven with pavilions, bridges, campsites and ride features that reflect a distinct Ozark vernacular. It’s a space where flow is everything — both on and off the bike. From the lofty Peak One Hub, a launchpad for epic rides, to the reimagined Homestead Barn for family play, every structure blends function with form.

And at the center of it all is Airship, inviting riders to slow down, refuel, and take it all in.

The Airship café sits within a rugged, concrete, ruin-like structure that anchors the preserve’s valley floor. Airship has taken this special space and filled it with a cafe, a rooftop terrace, a beer garden and generous gathering zones for trail users — framed by the forest and filtered with dappled light. The setting is immersive, and the vibe is unmistakably rooted in connection — to nature, to community and to craft.

Coler is open year-round, and so is Airship — weather permitting. Whether you're a local looking for a peaceful nature break or a rider chasing adrenaline through the trees, this destination café delivers something rare: a perfect intersection of design, nature and caffeine-fueled connection.

Airship at Coler is located one mile into the preserve and can only be reached via foot or bike — no cars allowed. Trust us, the journey is part of the magic.
