SOULBASE PLACES:

Deep Lake

Nestled in the Buckman neighborhood of Portland, this consignment store by Sara Barner, Isabelle Cetas and Brookes Boswell is committed to extending the life of thoughtfully sourced and masterfully made garments from designers around the world.

When you open the white door and walk into Deep Lake, you are welcomed by a warm wooden floor and an open space with a beautiful wide countertop, black hanging shelves and two large changing rooms.

Designed in a joint effort by the Deep Lake owners, architect Brendon Farrell and furniture and cabinet maker Ben Johnson of Bolestudio, they created a space that elevates the incoming  apparel pieces. The tall windows brighten the spaces and create room to breathe.

At Deep Lake, you will find more than your ordinary thrift store items and will see the keen eye the owners have for independent and high-quality garments, from basic essentials to unique statement pieces – always with a deep appreciation for style and design.

Consignment is not only great for the budget, but it also creates access to designer pieces for a wider audience and allows you to be part of creating a more conscious and sustainable world by supporting change in the garment industry.

If you are looking for basic essentials or unique wardrobe pieces, visit Deep Lake and their wonderful and welcoming owners in Portland, Oregon.
